Center For Siouxland’s Consumer Credit Counseling Receives ISO Certification

Center For Siouxland has offered Consumer Credit Counseling services for the past 27 years.  These services include budgeting, money management, debt reduction counseling and education.  As of February 2008, Consumer Credit Counseling has completed ISO 9001 certification.

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) certification is a recognized management system standard and a widely accepted model of quality management principles used worldwide by organizations of all sectors and sizes.  Certification tells your customers you have achieved world-class quality.  ISO 9001 focuses on quality principles including: customer focus, leadership, involvement of people, process approach, system approach to management, continual improvement, and factual approach to decision making and mutually beneficial supplier-relationships.

ISO certification includes compliance with the Association of Independent Consumer Credit Counseling Agencies Code of Practice.  This ensures the public that they are seeking services from a program that is operated by qualified counselors with appropriate governance over all aspects of operations.  Center For Siouxland’s Consumer Credit Counseling has proven its pledge to establishing, documenting, implementing and maintaining a quality management system and continually improving its effectiveness.

Completion of the certification reaffirms Center For Siouxland’s Consumer Credit Counseling’s commitment to provide quality services to those in Siouxland experiencing financial difficulty.  The benefit of this service in our community is multi-faceted and immense.  Those in our community seeking help can receive individualized credit counseling locally from a reputable organization while creditors received 2.1 million dollars in payments for consumer debt during 2007 because of this program.
