Center For Siouxland's Retired Senior Volunteer Program Offers Tax Consultation

Tax season is fast approaching. This year FREE tax consultation and preparation will be conducted at Center For Siouxland located at 715 Douglas St. in Sioux City. The Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) volunteers will be trained by an AARP leader to prepare taxes properly as well as to learn the requirements and laws.
Tax consultations will begin February 5 and continue until April 13. Hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and require an appointment. Individuals making appointments will need to bring their tax related documents to the appointment. The program is designed primarily to serve the elderly but also serves low income individuals regardless of age. Appointments can be made by calling 712-252-1861 ext 21.
If you are interested in becoming an RSVP volunteer receptionist or tax preparer please call 252-1861 ext. 21. Volunteers may design a flexible schedule that works best for them. The Retired Senior Volunteer Program is sponsored by Center For Siouxland. Center For Siouxland is a non-profit organization that has served families and individuals in Siouxland for the past 31 years.
