Daily Grind Gathers Food Donations

Jeanne Zyzda owner of the Daily Grind announces that in celebration of the businesses 18th anniversary on Thursday, December 17, they will offer a 10% discount on any drink purchased for customers that bring in an item to donate to Center For Siouxland’s food pantry.  Items that are needed include: canned fruits, vegetables and juices, pastas and sauces, pancake mix and syrup and peanut butter and jelly.  A complete list of needed items is posted at the Daily Grind which has been a drop off point for donations throughout the month.

Jeanne states, “I am celebrating 18 years of serving great coffee to Siouxland and I am conducting this promotion as a way of giving back.” The Daily Grind is located at 511 4th St. and has a location at WIT.  Center For Siouxland is a local non-profit that has been helping individuals in the community since 1975.  The agency offers an array of vital services including Consumer Credit Counseling, utility and prescription assistance, a food pantry, client trust, housing counseling, 2-1-1 center, the retired and senior volunteer program and transitional housing for the homeless. Center For Siouxland is located at 715 Douglas St.
