La Casa Latina Receives $10,000 from Bank of America

On January 26, 2006, Christy Nicolaisen, Vice President of La Casa Latina received a $10,000 gift from the Sioux City branch of Bank of America. Part of Bank of America’s Charitable Giving is dedicated to supporting community development and non-profit human service organizations in the communities where their offices are located. 

After a site visit to La Casa Latina and numerous conversations with Ms. Nicolaisen, the local Bank of America General Manager and her associates decided that La Casa Latina best exemplified their Charitable Giving focus and the award was made. La Casa Latina helps Hispanic immigrants become active members of Siouxland by providing immigration information and assistance with paperwork, interpretation and translation services, and ESL/GED education classes.
