Center For Siouxland Receives $3,000 Target Store Grant

Center For Siouxland’s Senior Programs Department has been awarded a $3,000.00 Target Store Grant to support the Seniors in Schools program.
The Seniors in Schools program is a literacy program designed to provide additional assistance to elementary school children who need help with reading, math, and ESL skills. Seniors in Schools volunteers serve at elementary schools throughout Sioux City and Woodbury County. Center For Siouxland is a local non-profit that provides an array of services including: senior companions, retired and senior volunteer program, consumer credit counseling, client representative and payee programs, emergency family shelter, transitional housing for the homeless, food pantry, utility assistance, prescription medication assistance, and 2-1-1 information and referral helpline.
