Court Ordered Community Service
The Community Service Coordinator works with the courts in coordinating and placing clients through court-ordered community service. It serves as a central registration site for identification and scheduling of community service opportunities at non-profit and government agencies.
Dial 712-252-1861 ext 19 to make an appointment through Center For Siouxland. Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. During the appointment, the individual pays the $30 administrative fee and is interviewed by the Community Service Coordinator. The coordinator will do his/her best to place the individual with an available agency that will work with their schedule, knowledge, and skills.
Government and nonprofit agencies and businesses in Siouxland have benefited from thousands of volunteer hours provided by community service workers. And the individuals doing community service have gained valuable experience and knowledge and, most importantly, have formed a connection with the community. Because of this new found connection, some community service workers will continue volunteering even after their community service is completed.
