Senior Department Giving Opportunities

Since 1989, the Senior Department at Center For Siouxland has been providing area Seniors with tools to be healthy and active in our community.  You have the opportunity to support such efforts though your generous donations, gifts and time.  Here are some ways to get involved in our Senior Programs:

Annual Fundraiser

Our Annual Fundraiser is held during August, which is very close to National Grandparents Day.  This fundraiser is an evening event that hosts an author.

Siouxland Afghans

These wonderful afghans are custom designed with historic sites in Sioux City.  The Historical afghans come in three different colors: Navy with Natural, Hunter Green with Natural, and Cranberry Red with Natural.  The size is 50"x65". The Modern afghan comes in full color.

Interested in purchasing a keepsake afghan? Call us at 712-252-1861 ext. 21 or use one of the links below.  To see afghan pictures choose the Mail in Form link.

Monetary Donations/In Kind Donations

This option allows for The Senior Department to provide volunteer services including volunteer insurance, meals, travel, and recognition.  The Senior Department has over 200 volunteers.  Throughout the year, we present them with gifts that we receive from generous supporters and businesses.

"I Shall Wear Purple” Club

“Think Young! Feel Young! Wear Purple!” At the nominal cost of $1 dollar per day ($365/year), you are able to provide companionship and transportation for weekly shopping and errands to a homebound individual.

Planned Giving

Many of you have contributed to Center For Siouxland’s needs, and you can continue to help us by making a year end charitable contribution, give a gift of life insurance or stock, or make a bequest on behalf of the Senior Programs.  For more information about the potential tax benefits of this option, please contact Center For Siouxland or your tax advisor.

If you’d like more information on how you can help the Senior Department, please contact Barry McArdle at (712)252-1861 ext 23
